That's right everyone it's BOO BASH WEEK!! Time to decorate a cake and bring it in for the cake decorating contest! Or maybe you just want to bake some cookies for the bake sale..or better yet, stop by at your friendly neighborhood market and purchase a cake for the cake walk!!! What ever you decide to do, please remember: DONATION AND PARTICIPATION EQUAL A TOP DRAWER EDUCATION!!! Come and have fun on Friday October 30th from 5 until 8!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the 99cents store on Buena Vista up by the Ralphs has foil cake pans..some shaped like pumpkins! This is good to know for those of you who are thinking of baking a cake for our BOO BASH CAKE WALK or entering the annual BOO BASH CAKE DECORATING CONTEST or maybe just donating some yummy baked goods to THE BAKE SALE! We will be sending out more information as time draws nearer to the bash!

ORIGINAL ARTS UPDATE

Hey Parents..just wanted to touchbase with you and let you know that your ORIGINAL ARTS order forms are due to go home in Monday Folders. You will find your child's art work along with an order form a letter with item prices. If you do not receive your form or art work please let your teacher know.

RED RIBBON WEEK

The week of OCTOBER 19th -23rd our school will be celebrating RED RIBBON WEEK! Red Ribbon week is a national drug prevention campaign. Throughout the week our class will be participating in a number of activities:

MONDAY: Each class will design a poster that will be hung and displayed on the Avon Street fence, so make sure to look for them!!!

WEDNESDAY: Student council has declared Wednesday "SOCK IT TO DRUGS" day! The students are invited to wear CRAZY SILLY socks to show their support of being and staying drug free!

FRIDAY: The students will be signing pledges to stay drug free and healthy and aware of their choices.

When Dracula grows hungry in the darkness of the night
he swoops by the BAKE SALE for something sweet to bite!

Frankenstein's quite clumsy (if you want to know the truth)
but he can play and win a prize at any BOO BASH BOOTH!

The Spirits will be having fun for that's what Spirits do,
and the Spirits at The Boo Bash is the Spirit inside you...

THINKING OUT OF THE BOX WHILE STAYING INSIDE THE LINES!

This week our class participated in ORIGINAL ARTS... a fabulous time that put the FUN in fundraiser! Original Arts invites the students to create a work of art on a blank piece of paper that can then be transformed into a special gift for the holidays...or an everyday coffee mug for Dad or maybe even a night lite for Junior (or Dad too, who knows, heck, maybe Junior is the coffee drinker in the house)..We all know how much grandma and grandpa would love to lay their weary heads upon a pillow case adorned with their beloved grandchild's artwork and oh how Auntie in St. Paul will smile every time she reaches for her Original Arts oven mitt before she takes out her homemade casserole.. And imagine, not only did the kids have a BLAST creating their Original Art, and not only will it bring joy to anyone who receives a gift, but best of all this is a fundraiser that will contribute to your child's music and arts education..as well as allowing our school to be graced by our lovely librarian! So spread the joy, support your school, and keep your child dancing and singing and loving the library...it's as easy as filling out your Original Arts order form!!!

Hello everyone out there in computer land..I am Emma's mom and I have NEVER blogged before in my life..so here I am just testing testing one two three to see if I am actually doing this right...fingers crossed everyone..here it goes
